The Customer

Established in 1989, Bakewell & Eyam Community Transport is a non-for-profit charity providing transport services to rural communities in Derbyshire.

The Challenge

Bakewell & Eyam were previously operating on an on-premise NEC telephone system which operated both voice calls and broadband over a single connection. However, had that connection have failed the company would lose both their internet and phone calls. Bakewell & Eyam wished to move to a new, hosted cloud telephone system which was more resilient whilst providing plenty of additional functionality for future requirements.
Also, the team wished to enhance further the communication experience clients received. Due to BT discontinuing traditional digital phone lines, Bakewell & Eyam wished to benefit from the very latest technologies ensuring the quality and reliability is guaranteed for their customers and staff.

The Solution

A hosted Nimbus Telephone System was deployed saving the charity £3,500 over their agreement term. Matrix247 also ported all the existing telephone numbers to the new telephone system so the company could keep their current numbers and being a transport company, this was very important. Additional benefits included free local and national calls, free handsets and free call management enabling the company to monitor missed calls to call back immediately.
